Susanna will be profiling the accomplishments of black women sadly often overlooked in the media.
“As a mixed heritage woman brought up in a predominantly white community the lake of visible black and mixed heritage women has presented me with challenges, so I want to celebrate black women and start to redress the balance. As part of my programme I will be interviewing Floella Benjamin whose appearances on Playschool and Playaway where very significant to me.”

Sarah-Jane Gray from British Cycling Interview
Last month British Cycling launched an online survey to identify what prevents more women from cycling. The survey comes after national figures showed that the number of cycling has dramatically increased in the last year but the gap between male and female participants is widening.
Kez Hedges spoke to Sarah-Jane Gray from British Cycling’s Recreation Team, who are behind the survey, to find out more about it, what British Cyling are currenlty doing to address the inbalance and how people can take part.
