History Zone Print E-mail

Preston FM has been following the creation of a new exhibition which chronicles the heritage of disabled people living in Preston.  The exhibition, which was the idea of the Moor Lane Resource Centre, and was facilitated by Prescap , launched on 3rd December 2008 to co-incide with the International Day for Disabled People.

Preston FM was out in force at Radio 1's Big Weekend on 19-20 May 2007. Community Radio volunteers were out reporting from behind the scenes, whilst others joined the team in the One Life tent, promoting the project and the opportunities on offer to people in Preston.

Preston FM's Darfur Day took place on Monday 4th June 2007. Thanks to all those who gave money to the Darfur and Chad emergency appeal in The Mall on the day - we raised over £350 on the day.

SONIC Festival Print E-mail

Preston FM was proud to sponsor the 2007 SONIC festival - taking place between 10th and 22nd of November at multiple venues throughout Preston, featuring many different genres of music including indie, rock, dance, folk & world music from both live acts & DJs. Sonic Festival took over venues across the city including 53 Degrees, the Guild Hall, the Mad Ferret, & the Venue amongst others to showcase a whole host of local artists plus bring nationally & worldwide renowned acts into the city!.
