Community Radio Youth Involvement Officer Up to £22,000 + 5% pension contribution Full time, 37.5 hours per week Contract to 31 Mar 2011, with potential for extension subject to future funding
With 21 years' experience in delivering innovative and effective community based arts and media projects, Preston Community Arts Project (Prescap) operates a highly successful full-time Community Radio project in Preston. The radio station reflects all of Preston's many communities, and gives everybody the chance to get their voice heard, and their message across.
A vacancy has arisen for a Youth Involvement Officer to work within our community radio team, to lead the recruitment, training, induction and support of young volunteers, working with them to create broadcast material and facilitating young people’s involvement in all aspects of the wider community radio project.
You’ll be experienced in and committed to engaging and working with young people, as well as excited about the opportunities community radio can offer them. Your focus will be to ensure the benefits of volunteering with community radio are available to all young people in Preston.
Benefits include flexible working arrangements, 30 days annual leave and 5% pension contribution.
