Building on our 25 years' experience in delivering innovative and effective community based arts and media projects, Prescap now leads a Community Radio project for Preston.

Preston FM recently celebrated its first birthday, having launched full-time on Monday 6th October 2008. But we've been around for longer than that - since 2005, to be exact. Previous to our full time broadcasting, we were on air for six one-month-long broadcasts (known as RSLs). Our aim is that Preston FM will be on air until at least 2013, thanks to a licence granted by Ofcom - the UK communications regulator.

All of Preston FM's presenters are local volunteers who give up their time to help keep the radio station going - and our programmes reflect our volunteers' huge variety of tastes and interests. We hope you will find something here for you - but, if not, why not get involved yourself and help make the station a success.
